The Surgeon General Meets the Central Banker

Setup

Jerome Adams, the US surgeon general and the nation's doctor, joins Patrick Harker, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, in conversation. The Federal Reserve researches and works to help strengthen local economies in communities across the country. Through its Economic Growth and Mobility Project, the Philadelphia Fed focuses on turning research into action in three broad areas necessary for economic health: workforce development, job creation, and infrastructure. Public health professionals can measure the resulting health outcomes as neighborhoods are transformed. Their rich partnership is bringing new resources and fresh perspectives to help local health flourish.
