Akinyemi is a 24-year-old rapper, voice actor, songwriter, model, and producer. His name, meaning “fated to be a warrior” in Yoruba, the Nigerian tribe from which his family originates, is the basis of his October 2020 debut album, Reborn, about the journey of a Nigerian-American based in Queens trying to break the mold and create a path for future artists to do the same. Akinyemi also works with sociopolitical initiatives to continue to use his music to have a true impact.
