Bill McKibben

Bill McKibben is a founder of the grassroots climate campaign 350.org and the Schumann Distinguished Professor in Residence at Middlebury College. He has written over a dozen books about the environment, from his first, The End of Nature, regarded as the first book for a general audience about climate change when it came out in 1989, to his most recent, Falter: Has the Human Game Begun to Play Itself Out? McKibben is a 2014 recipient of the Right Livelihood Prize, the 2013 winner of the Gandhi Prize and Thomas Merton Prize, and holds honorary degrees from 18 colleges and universities. He is a former staff writer for The New Yorker.
