Emily Yoffe is a journalist and contributing editor to The Atlantic. She was previously a long-time contributor to Slate and its Dear Prudence advice columnist for a decade. She has written for many publications, including The New York Times, O, The Oprah Magazine, The Washington Post, Esquire, and the Los Angeles Times, about culture, politics, and science. She started her career as a staff writer at The New Republic. Yoffe was a finalist for the 2015 National Magazine Award in public interest for her Slate story, The College Rape Overcorrection. She is the author of the book, What the Dog Did: Tales from a Formerly Reluctant Dog Owner.
