Gregg Treinish

Founder and Executive Director, Adventure Scientists

Gregg Treinish is founder and executive director of Adventure Scientists, a nonprofit that equips partners with data collected from the outdoors that are crucial to addressing environmental and human health challenges. He previously worked as a wildlife biologist and assistant program director for Wild Things Unlimited, among other jobs. Elected in 2017 as an Ashoka Fellow, Treinish has been a Draper Richards Kaplan Entrepreneur and one of Men’s Journal’s 50 Most Adventurous Men. He became a National Geographic Emerging Explorer in 2013 for his work with Adventure Scientists, and National Geographic named him 2008 Adventurer of the Year after completing a 7,800-mile trek in the Andes Mountains.
