José James is a vocalist who combines jazz, soul, drum and bass, and spoken word into his own unique brand of vocal jazz.Often referred to as a jazz singer for the hip-hop generation, he released his debut album, Dreamer, in 2008 and has released several more since then, including the award-winning For All We Know and, most recently, Love in a Time of Madness. James signed on with Blue Note Records in 2012 and has toured all over the world. His most recent tour, Lean On Me: José James celebrates Bill Withers, is an exploration of the deep musical catalogue of the legendary R&B singer songwriter.
