Mark Bittman

Food Journalist; Author

Mark Bittman is a food journalist and author. He is the editor in chief of The Bittman Project, which features a newsletter, website, and the podcast “Food, with Mark Bittman.” A fellow at Yale, he is on the faculty of Columbia's Mailman School of Public Health. Bittman has written 30 books, including the How to Cook Everything series and Animal, Vegetable, Junk. Previously, he was at The New York Times for three decades, where he created “The Minimalist” column and was the Sunday Magazine’s lead food writer. Bittman has appeared in several television series, including “Years of Living Dangerously,” and was a regular guest on “Today.” His Ted Talk “What’s wrong with what we eat?" has been viewed five million times.
