Mark Hoffman

Mark Hoffman is chairman of CNBC, a position he was named to in 2015, reporting directly to the CEO of NBCUniversal. An award-winning broadcast veteran with more than 30 years of experience, he had been named CNBC president in 2005. Hoffman was previously president and general manager of WVIT, NBC’s owned-and-operated station in Hartford, CT, from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that, he was vice president and managing editor of business news for CNBC and acting president and managing director for CNBC Europe. Hoffman first joined CNBC in 1997 after a series of leadership positions at local television stations in St. Louis, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, and New York.
