Moisés Naím is a Distinguished Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. An internationally syndicated economics and geopolitics columnist, he also hosts and produces the international-affairs television program “Efecto Naím,” which earned a 2018 Emmy Award. From 1996 to 2010, Naím was editor in chief of Foreign Policy magazine. Prior to that, he was Venezuela’s minister of development, director of its central bank, and executive director at the World Bank. He has also taught at Venezuela’s main business school and at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. Author of many scholarly articles and books on international affairs, economics, and politics, Naím’s most recent book is The Revenge of Power. He received the 2011 Ortega y Gasset prize for Spanish journalism.
