Sandra Abrevaya

Sandra Abrevaya is the co-founder and a board member of I AM ALS, a patient-led, patient-centric movement seeking a cure to the disease. She is also a co-founder and the CEO of Synapticure, an ALS patient-advocacy organization. Abrevaya is married to, and a caregiver for, Brian Wallach, who has been diagnosed with ALS. Prior to this, she was president and chief impact officer of Thrive Chicago. Previously, she was a founding CEO in the nonprofit sector and held senior roles with the City of Chicago, the White House, US Department of Education, US Senate, and US House of Representatives.
