Simran Jeet Singh is executive director of the Religion & Society Program at the Aspen Institute. He is an Atlantic Fellow for Racial Equity with Columbia University and the Nelson Mandela Foundation, a Soros Equality Fellow with the Open Society Foundations, a visiting lecturer at Union Seminary, and senior advisor on equity and inclusion for YSC Consulting (part of Accenture). Author of the national best-seller The Light We Give: How Sikh Wisdom Can Transform Your Life and of the children’s book Fauja Singh Keeps Going, Singh writes a monthly column for Religion News Service and regularly contributes to media outlets including The Washington Post, CNN, and TIME. Harvard University honored him with the Peter J. Gomes Memorial Award and TIME recognized him as one of 16 people fighting for a more equal America.
