Vicki Chan is a board-certified ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist based in Southern California. Chan has a passion for social media marketing, education, and advocacy. She realized years ago the impact social media could have on society, beyond the patients she sees in her office, to help educate, inspire, and humanize medicine. Chan currently works with The Public Good Project, #ThisIsOurShot (as digital lead on its executive committee), the United Nations Verified Initiative’s #TeamHalo, the World Health Organization, and the California Department of Public Health to fight misinformation and educate the public on health issues.
