Yai Vargas is founder of The Latinista, a national network of women and Latina professionals invested in professional development and career mobility, which offers skill-building, activity-driven workshops. She is also a career diversity and inclusion strategist who helps organizations develop programming focused on career and leadership development. With a background in multicultural marketing and communications, Vargas was previously national multicultural marketing manager for New York Life insurance company and national diversity manager for the US Tennis Association. She is a mentor at WE NYC (Women Entrepreneurs of New York City), an initiative of the City of New York, and the Emerging Leaders Committee lead at the Financial Women’s Association, among other endeavors. Vargas is participating in the Aspen Ideas Festival as a 2019 Scholar.
