Ylan Mui is the senior congressional correspondent at CNBC. Based in Washington, DC, she covers Capitol Hill and economic policy, with her reporting appearing on television and digital platforms. Mui has also covered Big Tech vs. Washington. She joined the network in 2017 as a reporter covering economic and regulatory policy. Previously, Mui worked for 15 years at The Washington Post, most recently as White House economic policy correspondent. There, she covered the Federal Reserve and the macroeconomy, subprime lending, consumer finance, retail, and education as well as major international stories. Mui is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association.
