Vidhya Ramalingam is Founder and CEO of Moonshot, a company working to end online harms, applying evidence, ethics and human rights. Recognized internationally for leading policy responses to racially motivated terrorism, she regularly testifies before the U.S. Congress and has advised several heads of state. Following the 2011 attacks in Norway, she led the European Union’s first intergovernmental initiative on racially motivated terrorism and extremism. Trained as an anthropologist, Ramalingam has conducted ethnographic field research with white nationalists. She gave the TED talk "Why I talk to white supremacists." Ramalingam has served on the board of Life After Hate, an organization of former white supremacists that helps individuals leave hate groups. Moonshot was named to Fast Company’s World’s Most Innovative Companies lists in 2022 and 2023.
