Kate D. Levin

Kate D. Levin is a principal at Bloomberg Associates, a philanthropic consulting firm working with mayors to improve quality of life for their citizens, whose client cities include Athens, Houston, London, and Milan. She also oversees the Bloomberg Philanthropies Arts program, supporting a range of organizations and activities in the United States and around the world, with recent initiatives focusing on management training, public art, job readiness, and digital technology. Levin was commissioner of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs from 2002 to 2013. A former professor of English at City College of City University of New York, she also served in former New York City mayor Ed Koch’s administration.
